Foetality: Game Jam Edition

A wacky 48h game jam game about cannibal fetuses gnawing each other's limbs off.

The LudeCat trophy :)

details

Foetality was created in 48h at the 10th MMArmalade Game Jam, organised by students of the MMA course at the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg. The theme was “you are what you eat”, so naturally we made a game about cannibalism. After all, if a person eats another person, he remains a person. Duh.

The German title “Fötality: Föten die sich töten” is a pun on fetus and fatality and roughly translates to “Fetuses that kill each other”: Hannibal Lecter babies eating each other in their mother’s womb.

Two players each control a ragdoll fetus. Dash into the other player, spam buttons to gnaw off their limbs and shake off opponents latched onto you. The last cannibal standing wins!

The game won first place in the special LudeCat ranking. It was later polished into Foetality: Fetus Deletus and released on Steam.
